Resting against it is our angel wings buckle in antique gold: a pair of wings folded softly together, each one finely worked with layered feathers and edged with tiny beaded dots, the darkened recesses giving every feather real depth. A slender opening between the wings lets the leather peek through, so buckle and strap feel gently entwined. The warm, burnished gold picks up the bronze glow in the leather beautifully, and the result is serene, detailed and quietly beautiful.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIron has all the warmth of brown, with a sheen and depth that make it far more interesting to wear. At 40mm, it’s made for smart casual dressing, and it works well for both men and women. I’d wear it with dark denim, a cream roll-neck and suede boots, or with olive chinos and a soft white shirt. It’s lovely with camel, cream, navy and rich autumn tones. On her, it’s beautiful at the waist of a flowing cream dress, or slung through relaxed jeans with a soft knit and a little gold jewellery to echo the wings.
