The croc tail print reads as interesting rather than busy, with a slight sheen that lifts the leather and lets it contrast gently against whatever you're wearing rather than compete with it. There's real tonal variation running through the dark brown too — the ridges sit a touch darker than the base leather, giving it more depth than a single flat colour could manage.

The buckle here is gold, an open, flowing C-shape rather than the more angular designs we often use — softly curved from top to bottom, flat in profile, with a smooth polished finish that gives it a sculptural, almost jewellery-like quality against the leather, and a fluidity that suits her wardrobe particularly well.

Not only is the upper leather full grain quality, the lining is too, so that same integrity runs all the way through the belt rather than stopping at the surface. Every belt is still handcrafted in our small Spanish atelier, where a small team takes the time needed to get these details right rather than rushing them.

At 40mm this sits comfortably in smart-casual territory — with jeans for an easy everyday look, over a dress for definition at the waist, or with tailored trousers when you want something a little sharper. The tonal variation in the leather makes it an easy match across darker brown tones, and the curved gold buckle brings a softer, more fluid line than a traditional rectangular design.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0610/3731/4247/files/S104636H_1_5894400f-deeb-47f5-a7bc-a2306948b950.jpg?v=1787587781
