It’s hard not to think of the ocean when you look at it, which makes it the perfect home for our octopus. Sculpted in aged silver, he sprawls across the strap with all eight tentacles curling and twisting in every direction, each one finely ridged and darkened in the recesses so it stands out in relief against the blue. Two tiny Swarovski crystal eyes peer out with a glint of mischief. It’s whimsical and full of charm, but beautifully made, and the silver against that oceanic blue is a lovely, fresh combination.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThis is a belt with a sense of humour, and denim blue is the ideal colour to carry it off: easy to wear, cheerful and endlessly versatile. It works well for both men and women. I’d wear it with white jeans and a navy linen shirt in summer, or with grey trousers and a white Oxford shirt when I want a little wit in my workwear. The narrow width means it even works with a suit, if you dare. On her, it’s lovely with a striped Breton top and wide-leg cream trousers, or at the waist of a white shirt dress.
