Dark olive and moss greens give it depth, while the paler areas shimmer with flashes of gold and hints of teal, so the strap glints like sunlight breaking through a canopy of leaves. Framing it is a softly squared buckle in antique gold with a hand-hammered finish, its sides gently rippled and uneven, as if shaped at the forge. That irregularity gives it real edge. A neat, symmetrical frame would feel tame by comparison. It sits like a frame around the leather, drawing the eye to the scales within, and its warm, burnished gold homes in on the metallic flecks, so buckle and strap glow together beautifully.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eForest green is a wonderfully rewarding colour, and it’s far more versatile than you might expect. It looks fantastic with navy, camel, cream, chocolate and black, and brings real warmth to autumn and winter dressing. It works well for both men and women. I’d wear it with dark denim, a cream cable knit and brown suede boots, or with charcoal trousers and a black roll-neck for evening. On her, it’s lovely with a long camel coat and wide-leg trousers, or slung through relaxed jeans with a soft knit and gold jewellery.
