Embossing Information

We are pleased to be able to offer an embossing service so that you can personalise your belts or accessories. Having your initials discreetly embossed adds a classy finishing touch and of course if you are buying something as a gift then adding initials is really lovely detail.

So...a few things to know about our embossing service :

What can I emboss?

You are able to emboss up to 3 initials without spaces/punctuation. For the moment we cannot emboss numbers or dates but hope to be able to offer this service soon.

Font type / Size

Our letters are UPPERCASE in Times New Roman font - the font is 6mm high

What items can I emboss?

Any belt and most accessories can be embossed subject to space. We can emboss on both plain or textured leather (so either on the inside or outside) but please bear in mind that if we emboss on textured leather there is a chance that you will see small breakage lines in the foil due to the uneven nature of the surface.

What positions can I have my items embossed in?

Belts can be embossed in 2 different positions, either towards the tip end of the belt or close to the buckle end. The Initials can be embossed in either landscape or portrait orientation. All of these options will be offered when adding personalisation to your cart. By default we emboss on the INSIDE of belts. If you would like us to emboss on the OUTSIDE please let us know this in the customer comment section and we will do our best to accommodate dependent on leather type)

For accessories due to the variety of permutations we have to use our best judgement as to where to place the emboss. When adding personalisation to your cart you will have the option to select to have the embossing either inside or outside. Our embossing specialist will then use his discretion to select the best location for embossing.

We offer a standard price of £15 for up to 3 letters.

How long will this take?

If you choose to have initials added to one of your purchases please allow 7 days from the date of order for the item to be ready for shipment. 

Exchange/Refund/Returns

Once an item is personalised it unfortunately cannot be exchanged or refunded. We can of course still shorten any belt style that is too large.

Description

I’ll let you into a secret: of all the ways I’ve dressed this belt, this is my favourite, and it isn’t close. Some pairings look good. This one looks inevitable, as though the strap and buckle were always meant to find each other. The style is the Greystoke Triple, named after Lord Greystoke, the aristocrat who swapped the drawing room for the jungle as Tarzan. Pair it with a coral reef and you’ve got a belt that has quite literally been everywhere. The strap brings three textures together in one flowing design. Glossy mock caiman croc in deep burgundy runs into a moodier croc-effect panel in charcoal, with soft pony hair (hair-on cowhide) in smoky charcoal grey between them. Bold S-shaped cross stitching in burgundy-red traces every join, so the colours and textures ripple along the strap from end to end. Gloss and matt, scale and fur, warm and cool: it’s a belt that rewards a second look, and a third. And then there’s the buckle, our coral reef. It’s a chunky, organic cluster of coral stems, each one tipped with a polished silver bead, and scattered among them are tiny dark Swarovski crystals set into the tips, glinting as you move. The whole piece is coated in a glossy dark grey cold enamel that tones beautifully with the charcoal in the strap, while the silver tips catch the light against it. Pick it up and you’ll feel its weight straight away; this is a buckle with real substance. Its irregular, natural shape is the perfect partner for a strap that’s all about texture and flow. Nothing about it is neat or predictable, and that’s exactly why it works. This is a statement belt, so let it make the statement. Keep the rest of the outfit simple and dark: black jeans, a charcoal knit and boots, or a plain black tee under a leather jacket. Burgundy and charcoal together are richer and more interesting than black or brown, and they work wonderfully with navy, cream and forest green too. It works well for both men and women. On her, it’s sensational worn at the waist of a simple black dress, or over slim black trousers and a silk blouse for evening. Just be ready for the compliments, and possibly for someone asking if they can borrow it. The answer, I’d suggest, is no. Not only is the upper leather full grain quality, the lining is too. And like every belt we make, it’s handcrafted in our small Spanish atelier, where a small team joins each panel and stitches every seam by hand, taking all the time needed to get it right.
