Our interchangeable system
Did you know all of our belts and straps can be swapped with any of our buckles? Mix and match your buckles, and chop and change the look of your belt in the blink of an eye.
If you're looking for a brown belt with genuine warmth and character, this Creolo leather piece with our rust finish screw buckle is outstanding. The leather itself has a naturally mottled surface where darker veins run through the hide, creating depth and visual richness that standard uniform browns simply can't match. It's this variation that makes the belt so versatile—depending on the light and what you're wearing, it can read as warm cognac, deep tobacco, or rich chestnut, flexing effortlessly between a variety of brown and tan tones in your wardrobe. The Creolo leather has an organic, lived-in quality that feels authentic from day one. The prominent veining adds texture and dimension without any artificial embossing or treatment—it's simply the natural character of the hide coming through. This makes each belt subtly unique, with its own pattern of darker veins mapping across the surface. The slightly mottled finish catches light beautifully, revealing layers of tone that give the leather a painterly, almost artisanal quality. The chunky centre prong screw buckle is an all-time classic here at Elliot Rhodes, and for good reason. It has a weighty, substantial feel that speaks to quality and durability—the kind of hardware that feels reassuringly solid when you handle it. The visible screw details at each corner add an industrial, utilitarian edge that references workwear and heritage design without feeling overly rugged. What really makes this combination sing is our unique rust finish on the buckle. The warm, orangey tones create a mellow, rustic quality that harmonizes beautifully with the varied browns in the Creolo leather. Rather than the typical gunmetal or silver you'd expect on hardware, this rust finish brings genuine warmth—it's earthy, aged, and grounded. The effect is cohesive and tonal, as if both the leather and the buckle have weathered together naturally over time. This belt is particularly effective with heritage fabrics and casual tailoring—think moleskin trousers, corduroy, heavyweight denim, flannel shirts, or waxed cotton jackets. The combination of richly veined leather and rust-toned hardware creates a rustic, artisanal aesthetic that pairs beautifully with earth tones, burnt orange, olive, mustard, and deep navy. It's the kind of belt that looks better with wear, developing its own story alongside your wardrobe.
