Incredibly this buckle has been languishing in my 'Prototypes' tray for the last 7 years! I am still not quite sure why but life gets busy and things get overlooked! It was inspired and conceived by a lovely Japanese artist that I met called Maiko Nagayama - at the time we created several styles, each with different inspiration. This one is called 'Bazaar' and was a design she came up with after a trip to the famed Istanbul Bazaar in Turkey! The shape withs its etched edges above all does have a middle Eastern feel to it and its cone shaped garnet stone inserts allude to minarets. It is made in sterling silver but has been given a gunmetal finish. We only ever made one piece of this buckle so it is an absolute one-off - the photos you see here are of the exact buckle you will receive.

How it's made
Buckle making remains a remarkably traditional skill with most of our designs initially crafted by hand in wax before being melted away to create a mould from which we can cast your buckle. Once cast the buckle is then sent away for the galvanic process which gives it its colour and then any additional details such as enamel or crystals are applied by hand. Whether being made in Italy, France, Mexico, USA or the UK the techniques used remain the same.

Delivery

Orders made by midday BST will be despatched the same working day. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched on the next working day.

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday (with the exception of Public Holidays) and delivered on working days.
