Her work focuses predominantly on the animal world, and it was our mutual passion for belts that first inspired us to explore whether her extraordinary sculptural talent could be adapted to the intimate, intricate format of a belt buckle. Several months and many trips to the foundry later, we unveiled our first collection together — each piece a limited edition, signed and numbered. This octopus buckle is a stunning continuation of that artistic lineage. Cast in aged gold, every tentacle is rendered with a fluidity and precision that stops you in your tracks. It sits on the belt like something that has just emerged from the deep — alive, dynamic, utterly captivating. Against the Gea python skin, the pairing feels almost inevitable. The natural cream and warm beige of the python, the deep charcoal and black patches moving across the surface, the metallic gold highlights threading through the scales — it is a leather that already feels like it belongs to the natural world, and the octopus arrives as its natural companion. These belts are made in our small Italian atelier, where the art of working with exotic skins has been refined over generations.
