Here at Elliot Rhodes we have always had a penchant for mixing different textures of leather within the same belt design. For this season we have done just that to create our new 'Hitchcock' design belt. If you are going to name a belt after one of the greatest movie directors of all time it has to be something special...so we have taken one of our favourite smooth leathers and through its centre inserted from below, in a scotch grain version of the same leather, a raised welt. Even though this belt is Black we have still lovingly hand burnished it to give subtle variation in sheen and tone and then stitched it with a subtle contrast stitch to give a real craftsman's finish. We have added this lovely special silver finish buckle which with its smooth cambered, fluted edges is nicely distinctive and has a lovely solid weight to it. It's a great finishing touch which adds yet another level of intrigue to an already stunning design! The end result is a belt that will certainly stand you out from the crowd - whether worn for smarter occasions or on smart denim this is a belt that shows you like to pay attention to detail.
