Embossing Information

We are pleased to be able to offer an embossing service so that you can personalise your belts or accessories. Having your initials discreetly embossed adds a classy finishing touch and of course if you are buying something as a gift then adding initials is really lovely detail.

So...a few things to know about our embossing service :

What can I emboss?

You are able to emboss up to 3 initials without spaces/punctuation. For the moment we cannot emboss numbers or dates but hope to be able to offer this service soon.

Font type / Size

Our letters are UPPERCASE in Times New Roman font - the font is 6mm high

What items can I emboss?

Any belt and most accessories can be embossed subject to space. We can emboss on both plain or textured leather (so either on the inside or outside) but please bear in mind that if we emboss on textured leather there is a chance that you will see small breakage lines in the foil due to the uneven nature of the surface.

What positions can I have my items embossed in?

Belts can be embossed in 2 different positions, either towards the tip end of the belt or close to the buckle end. The Initials can be embossed in either landscape or portrait orientation. All of these options will be offered when adding personalisation to your cart. By default we emboss on the INSIDE of belts. If you would like us to emboss on the OUTSIDE please let us know this in the customer comment section and we will do our best to accommodate dependent on leather type)

For accessories due to the variety of permutations we have to use our best judgement as to where to place the emboss. When adding personalisation to your cart you will have the option to select to have the embossing either inside or outside. Our embossing specialist will then use his discretion to select the best location for embossing.

We offer a standard price of £15 for up to 3 letters.

How long will this take?

If you choose to have initials added to one of your purchases please allow 7 days from the date of order for the item to be ready for shipment. 

Exchange/Refund/Returns

Once an item is personalised it unfortunately cannot be exchanged or refunded. We can of course still shorten any belt style that is too large.

Description

If you’re going to own one exotic belt, I’d make it this one. Ostrich is the skin people who know their leather end up coming back to. It doesn’t shout the way some exotics do; it simply tells anyone paying attention that you’ve chosen something special. Wear it once and you’ll find yourself reaching for it more often than you expected. Pick it up and your fingers find the quills before your eyes do: those small raised points where each feather once grew, scattered across the hide in a pattern entirely its own. No two straps carry the same arrangement. The quills sit a shade deeper and catch a little more light, while the body of the leather around them stays softer and more matt. Up close that contrast gives the strap real depth and movement; from across a room it reads as rich, dark and quietly expensive. That subtlety is why ostrich has never dated. It was elegant fifty years ago and it will be elegant fifty years from now. The buckle is a slim rectangular frame in gunmetal, its polished edges framing a satin-brushed bar. Gunmetal was a deliberate choice. There’s no flash of bright metal breaking the line, so the eye travels the full length of the belt uninterrupted, and the result is a sleek, tonal, all-black look that feels considered rather than showy. It moves easily between smart and smart casual, and it works well for both men and women. The narrow width sits neatly under a suit jacket, so try it with charcoal or navy tailoring and a crisp white shirt, or dress it down with black jeans, a fine cashmere roll-neck and polished Chelsea boots. On her, it looks superb at the waist of high-rise black trousers with a silk blouse, or cinching an oversized white shirt over slim denim. Keep everything else dark and let the texture of the ostrich do the talking. The inside gets the same care as the outside: it’s lined in soft nubuck, so it feels as good as it looks. And like every belt we make, it’s handcrafted in our small Spanish atelier, where a small team works with exotic skins one belt at a time and gives each one the patience it deserves.

Exactly what was promised

I ordered 2 of these, black and brown, with 3 buckles, gold, silver and one rather ornate one. the order arrived and i now have a complete "arsenal" of belts and buckles to fit every outfit. the leather is silky smooth and soft, exactly as promised, both lining and outer are full grain. being my first full grain belts i am excited to see how they develop in time!

I have a total of 6 belts from ER and I love each of them. 3 are beautifully designed original Alligator belts in distinct colours like Blue, Red and Yellow. For each I selected unique buckles and I just love them.
