If you are looking for a contemporary take on a casual leather belt style then this black 'Brando' design with its jet black enamel buckle might well be the answer. This belt has been crafted from our favourite vegetable tanned vintage feel leather, but on this occasion the surface has been overlaid with a wonderfully realistic mock croc print (inspired by the tail of a crocodile). With its raised up spines and ridges the belt has a lovely three dimensional appearance and texture that along with its suppleness and rich feel makes this a perfect casual belt. Of course we also need to talk about the buckle - this wonderful chunky enamel buckle design has been with us for many a year, its mini spines rising organically out of the surface with the background layered in a smooth enamel. This version is particularly interesting with its matt black metal finish contrasting against the glossy black enamel. The way this buckle combines with the leather is really fabulous, the textures and colours perfectly complement each other. The end result is a belt that is truly edgy but not flashy (the nearly all black look ensures it stays low key) - it is an ideal partner for jeans and casualwear but I definitely think you could dress this up too, using the belt as the centrepiece to more of an evening wear style.
