Embossing Information

We are pleased to be able to offer an embossing service so that you can personalise your belts or accessories. Having your initials discreetly embossed adds a classy finishing touch and of course if you are buying something as a gift then adding initials is really lovely detail.

So...a few things to know about our embossing service :

What can I emboss?

You are able to emboss up to 3 initials without spaces/punctuation. For the moment we cannot emboss numbers or dates but hope to be able to offer this service soon.

Font type / Size

Our letters are UPPERCASE in Times New Roman font - the font is 6mm high

What items can I emboss?

Any belt and most accessories can be embossed subject to space. We can emboss on both plain or textured leather (so either on the inside or outside) but please bear in mind that if we emboss on textured leather there is a chance that you will see small breakage lines in the foil due to the uneven nature of the surface.

What positions can I have my items embossed in?

Belts can be embossed in 2 different positions, either towards the tip end of the belt or close to the buckle end. The Initials can be embossed in either landscape or portrait orientation. All of these options will be offered when adding personalisation to your cart. By default we emboss on the INSIDE of belts. If you would like us to emboss on the OUTSIDE please let us know this in the customer comment section and we will do our best to accommodate dependent on leather type)

For accessories due to the variety of permutations we have to use our best judgement as to where to place the emboss. When adding personalisation to your cart you will have the option to select to have the embossing either inside or outside. Our embossing specialist will then use his discretion to select the best location for embossing.

How much does it cost?

We offer a standard price of £15 for up to 3 letters.

How long will this take?

If you choose to have initials added to one of your purchases please allow 7 days from the date of order for the item to be ready for shipment. 

Exchange/Refund/Returns

Once an item is personalised it unfortunately cannot be exchanged or refunded. We can of course still shorten any belt style that is too large.

The Chaplin belt has always had a quiet confidence about it — the waxed cord hand stitching, the beautifully weighted suede, the artisanal character that reveals itself gradually to those who look closely. This version takes that same foundation and adds something altogether more dramatic: our triple skull buckle in a rare rust finish that turns the whole combination into something truly singular.The skulls themselves need no introduction — three cast forms clustered together with extraordinary anatomical detail, each one rendered with the kind of precision that makes the buckle as much a work of sculpture as a belt fastening. But it is the rust finish that elevates this particular combination into something exceptional. One of very few brands to work with this specialist treatment, we use it here to create a surface that carries the deep, oxidised warmth of aged iron — brown, red, and almost terracotta in its depths, shifting across the contours of the skull forms with a richness that feels ancient and entirely alive. Against the chocolate suede it creates a tonal harmony of extraordinary depth, buckle and leather inhabiting the same dark, warm world without one overwhelming the other.The waxed cord hand stitching — that signature Chaplin detail — runs the full length of both edges, its pale contrast thread adding the only lightness in an otherwise gloriously brooding palette.Handcrafted in our Spanish atelier, this is the Chaplin at its most compelling.How to wear it: Made for those who wear their personality with conviction. Delivery & Returns

Delivery

Orders made by midday BST will be despatched the same working day. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched on the next working day.

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday (with the exception of Public Holidays) and delivered on working days.
