Embossing Information

We are pleased to be able to offer an embossing service so that you can personalise your belts or accessories. Having your initials discreetly embossed adds a classy finishing touch and of course if you are buying something as a gift then adding initials is really lovely detail.

So...a few things to know about our embossing service :

What can I emboss?

You are able to emboss up to 3 initials without spaces/punctuation. For the moment we cannot emboss numbers or dates but hope to be able to offer this service soon.

Font type / Size

Our letters are UPPERCASE in Times New Roman font - the font is 6mm high

What items can I emboss?

Any belt and most accessories can be embossed subject to space. We can emboss on both plain or textured leather (so either on the inside or outside) but please bear in mind that if we emboss on textured leather there is a chance that you will see small breakage lines in the foil due to the uneven nature of the surface.

What positions can I have my items embossed in?

Belts can be embossed in 2 different positions, either towards the tip end of the belt or close to the buckle end. The Initials can be embossed in either landscape or portrait orientation. All of these options will be offered when adding personalisation to your cart. By default we emboss on the INSIDE of belts. If you would like us to emboss on the OUTSIDE please let us know this in the customer comment section and we will do our best to accommodate dependent on leather type)

For accessories due to the variety of permutations we have to use our best judgement as to where to place the emboss. When adding personalisation to your cart you will have the option to select to have the embossing either inside or outside. Our embossing specialist will then use his discretion to select the best location for embossing.

How much does it cost?

We offer a standard price of £15 for up to 3 letters.

How long will this take?

If you choose to have initials added to one of your purchases please allow 7 days from the date of order for the item to be ready for shipment. 

Exchange/Refund/Returns

Once an item is personalised it unfortunately cannot be exchanged or refunded. We can of course still shorten any belt style that is too large.

Description

Charlie Chaplin understood something that most people miss — that it is the unexpected detail, the contrast you didn't see coming, that makes something truly memorable. A belt that understands the same thing. The Chaplin in latte suede is a beautifully considered piece. That warm, biscuit-toned suede is soft and tactile, the kind of leather that improves with every wear — but look closer and the detail begins to reveal itself. A fine khaki green contrast stitch runs along both edges with a quiet precision, the colour sitting against the latte in a combination that is fresh, considered and completely its own. Then the hand stitching through the centre — a thicker waxed thread repeating along the strap with a rhythm that speaks of genuine craft and genuine care. And finally the edge painting, that same soft khaki green running the full length, tying everything together with a detail so specific and so well judged that you can't help but feel that someone cared very deeply about getting it right. Which they did. For the buckle I've chosen our dimple ridge prong in warm aged gold — that fine all-over texture catching the light with a gentle warmth that sits beautifully against the latte suede and draws out the richness of the whole combination. Present enough to add its own charm, restrained enough to let the strap do what it does best. Worn with denim it is exceptional — the green and gold lifting indigo in a way that feels entirely natural. With chinos, shorts or linen it has a relaxed, considered quality that makes every outfit feel a little more thought through. This is not just a belt. It is the kind of thing that makes people look twice — and then ask where you got it. These belts are made in our small Spanish atelier, where belts are still made one at a time by people who care deeply about getting it right.

Delivery & Returns

Delivery

Orders made by midday BST will be despatched the same working day. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched on the next working day.

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday (with the exception of Public Holidays) and delivered on working days.
