Description

Scarily its more than 15 years ago now that we first designed this buckle and it was a real hit from the outset. Over time we phased it out to make way for other designs but I've been wearing it recently again and had so many admiring comments that I felt it was time to resurrect it. With its raised up surface texture reminiscent of stalagmites set in their pool of coloured handset enamel it is certainly distinctive. The surface is unbelievably tactile and its glistening enamel really adds a little zip of colour to even the simplest of belts or outfits. Great with jeans but I like it a lot too for funky eveningwear to really bring an outfit to life.

How it's made
Buckle making remains a remarkably traditional skill with most of our designs initially crafted by hand in wax before being melted away to create a mould from which we can cast your buckle. Once cast the buckle is then sent away for the galvanic process which gives it its colour and then any additional details such as enamel or crystals are applied by hand. Whether being made in Italy, France, Mexico, USA or the UK the techniques used remain the same.

Delivery & Returns

Delivery

Orders made by midday BST will be despatched the same working day. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched on the next working day.

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday (with the exception of Public Holidays) and delivered on working days.

Beautiful finish

I now have three buckles of different colours in this design. The craftsmanship is superb, and the colours sing when the light catches them. Excellent customer service from the staff at the Covent Garden shop keeps me coming back to Elliot Rhodes.
