Embossing Information

We are pleased to be able to offer an embossing service so that you can personalise your belts or accessories. Having your initials discreetly embossed adds a classy finishing touch and of course if you are buying something as a gift then adding initials is really lovely detail.

So...a few things to know about our embossing service :

What can I emboss?

You are able to emboss up to 3 initials without spaces/punctuation. For the moment we cannot emboss numbers or dates but hope to be able to offer this service soon.

Font type / Size

Our letters are UPPERCASE in Times New Roman font - the font is 6mm high

What items can I emboss?

Any belt and most accessories can be embossed subject to space. We can emboss on both plain or textured leather (so either on the inside or outside) but please bear in mind that if we emboss on textured leather there is a chance that you will see small breakage lines in the foil due to the uneven nature of the surface.

What positions can I have my items embossed in?

Belts can be embossed in 2 different positions, either towards the tip end of the belt or close to the buckle end. The Initials can be embossed in either landscape or portrait orientation. All of these options will be offered when adding personalisation to your cart. By default we emboss on the INSIDE of belts. If you would like us to emboss on the OUTSIDE please let us know this in the customer comment section and we will do our best to accommodate dependent on leather type)

For accessories due to the variety of permutations we have to use our best judgement as to where to place the emboss. When adding personalisation to your cart you will have the option to select to have the embossing either inside or outside. Our embossing specialist will then use his discretion to select the best location for embossing.

How much does it cost?

We offer a standard price of £15 for up to 3 letters.

How long will this take?

If you choose to have initials added to one of your purchases please allow 7 days from the date of order for the item to be ready for shipment. 

Exchange/Refund/Returns

Once an item is personalised it unfortunately cannot be exchanged or refunded. We can of course still shorten any belt style that is too large.

If you know Elliot Rhodes, you'll know we have a long love affair with hand burnished leather. The Costello is one of the finest expressions of that obsession.The inspiration came from classic brogue footwear — that fine row of decorative perforations running along both edges borrowed directly from shoe craft and applied to the belt with the same care and intention. It's a detail that gives the Costello an immediate heritage elegance, a nod to a tradition of making things properly that we find endlessly compelling.The hand burnishing does the rest. Each strap is worked individually to draw out a tonal graduation — deeper and richer at the edges where the perforations catch the colour, lifting to something lighter and more luminous at the centre. No two straps read quite identically, and that variation is the whole point. This is leather that has been paid attention to.At 35mm the Costello is refined enough to wear formally — it earns its place with tailoring without a second thought — but equally at home in smart casual territory with dark denim and a blazer. For formal occasions, one of our sleek CNC-cut buckles brings a connoisseur-level precision that sits beautifully against the hand-worked leather. For something more relaxed, a classic open frame in aged gold or silver lets the burnished strap do exactly what it does best.A belt you will reach for constantly, and never regret.Handcrafted in our small Spanish atelier.

Delivery & Returns

Delivery

Orders made by midday BST will be despatched the same working day. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched on the next working day.

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday (with the exception of Public Holidays) and delivered on working days.
