Description

Our Damascus steel buckle collection is the result of over 8 years of research. Inspired by the steel that has been used for centuries to create the blades for Samurai Swords (and now used in luxury knife making) we set out to turn this ultra-tough material into a belt buckle. Damascus Steel is created by the layering of up to 300 hundred sheets of finely sliced steel and iron atop each other. This layering and the ultimate polishing brings forth distinctive patterns of banding and mottling reminiscent of flowing water. The buckle design is sleek and elegant to keep the focus very much on the texture - the finished buckle has a delicate refined look that is highly distinctive and of course unbelievably strong. Paired with a smarter leather or one with some texture this buckle will ooze subtle style and really show how much of a belt connoisseur you are...Good enough for the Samurai, good enough for us!

Buckle making remains a remarkably traditional skill with most of our designs initially crafted by hand in wax before being melted away to create a mould from which we can cast your buckle. Once cast the buckle is then sent away for the galvanic process which gives it its colour and then any additional details such as enamel or crystals are applied by hand. Whether being made in Italy, France, Mexico, USA or the UK the techniques used remain the same.

Orders made by midday BST will be despatched the same working day. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched on the next working day.

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday (with the exception of Public Holidays) and delivered on working days.
