Embossing Information

We are pleased to be able to offer an embossing service so that you can personalise your belts or accessories. Having your initials discreetly embossed adds a classy finishing touch and of course if you are buying something as a gift then adding initials is really lovely detail.

So...a few things to know about our embossing service :

What can I emboss?

You are able to emboss up to 3 initials without spaces/punctuation. For the moment we cannot emboss numbers or dates but hope to be able to offer this service soon.

Font type / Size

Our letters are UPPERCASE in Times New Roman font - the font is 6mm high

What items can I emboss?

Any belt and most accessories can be embossed subject to space. We can emboss on both plain or textured leather (so either on the inside or outside) but please bear in mind that if we emboss on textured leather there is a chance that you will see small breakage lines in the foil due to the uneven nature of the surface.

What positions can I have my items embossed in?

Belts can be embossed in 2 different positions, either towards the tip end of the belt or close to the buckle end. The Initials can be embossed in either landscape or portrait orientation. All of these options will be offered when adding personalisation to your cart. By default we emboss on the INSIDE of belts. If you would like us to emboss on the OUTSIDE please let us know this in the customer comment section and we will do our best to accommodate dependent on leather type)

For accessories due to the variety of permutations we have to use our best judgement as to where to place the emboss. When adding personalisation to your cart you will have the option to select to have the embossing either inside or outside. Our embossing specialist will then use his discretion to select the best location for embossing.

We offer a standard price of £15 for up to 3 letters.

How long will this take?

If you choose to have initials added to one of your purchases please allow 7 days from the date of order for the item to be ready for shipment. 

Exchange/Refund/Returns

Once an item is personalised it unfortunately cannot be exchanged or refunded. We can of course still shorten any belt style that is too large.

Description

I’ve always loved the colour of turquoise against brown leather. It’s one of those pairings that feels instantly sunlit, with a hint of desert road trips and faded denim. But I didn’t want to make another belt that looked like it had come straight off a ranch. So I took that feeling and gave it a cleaner, more modern frame, and the result is a belt with real warmth and personality that still looks completely at home in a city. The strap is genuine ostrich in a soft, warm brown, and the quills do what they do best. They’re scattered across the hide in a pattern that’s entirely unique to each strap, sitting a shade darker than the surrounding leather and holding a gentle sheen against its more matt finish. That interplay of tone and texture gives the belt real depth. Ostrich has been prized for generations for exactly this reason: it’s timeless, and it moves effortlessly between smart and smart casual. The buckle is where the story changes. At its centre sits a domed stone of Czech glass, crafted to capture the look of turquoise right down to the fine, dark veining running through it. Czech glassmakers have been perfecting this kind of work for centuries, and you can see it in the depth of colour. I set it in a square plaque of polished silver with softly bevelled edges that slope away from the stone, catching the light as they go. The turquoise brings that lighter, western-inflected spirit; the sculpted square shape pulls it firmly into contemporary territory. It’s the tension between the two that I like so much. This is a belt for days when you want your outfit to have a little life in it. I’d wear it with pale denim and a white linen shirt in summer, or with an ecru cable knit and tan suede boots once the weather turns. It’s lovely with cream or sand chinos, and it brings a welcome splash of colour to a navy or chambray shirt. For anyone who likes to dress with a softer, more relaxed elegance, try it at the waist of a flowing white dress or high-waisted wide-leg trousers with a simple knit. Let the stone be the only colour, and keep everything else in warm neutrals. It’s lined in soft nubuck, so the inside is just as considered as the outside. And like every belt we make, it’s handcrafted in our small Spanish atelier, where a small team works on each one by hand and gives it the time it needs to be right.

Exactly what was promised

I ordered 2 of these, black and brown, with 3 buckles, gold, silver and one rather ornate one. the order arrived and i now have a complete "arsenal" of belts and buckles to fit every outfit. the leather is silky smooth and soft, exactly as promised, both lining and outer are full grain. being my first full grain belts i am excited to see how they develop in time!
