Embossing Information

We are pleased to be able to offer an embossing service so that you can personalise your belts or accessories. Having your initials discreetly embossed adds a classy finishing touch and of course if you are buying something as a gift then adding initials is really lovely detail.

So...a few things to know about our embossing service :

What can I emboss?

You are able to emboss up to 3 initials without spaces/punctuation. For the moment we cannot emboss numbers or dates but hope to be able to offer this service soon.

Font type / Size

Our letters are UPPERCASE in Times New Roman font - the font is 6mm high

What items can I emboss?

Any belt and most accessories can be embossed subject to space. We can emboss on both plain or textured leather (so either on the inside or outside) but please bear in mind that if we emboss on textured leather there is a chance that you will see small breakage lines in the foil due to the uneven nature of the surface.

What positions can I have my items embossed in?

Belts can be embossed in 2 different positions, either towards the tip end of the belt or close to the buckle end. The Initials can be embossed in either landscape or portrait orientation. All of these options will be offered when adding personalisation to your cart. By default we emboss on the INSIDE of belts. If you would like us to emboss on the OUTSIDE please let us know this in the customer comment section and we will do our best to accommodate dependent on leather type)

For accessories due to the variety of permutations we have to use our best judgement as to where to place the emboss. When adding personalisation to your cart you will have the option to select to have the embossing either inside or outside. Our embossing specialist will then use his discretion to select the best location for embossing.

We offer a standard price of £15 for up to 3 letters.

How long will this take?

If you choose to have initials added to one of your purchases please allow 7 days from the date of order for the item to be ready for shipment. 

Exchange/Refund/Returns

Once an item is personalised it unfortunately cannot be exchanged or refunded. We can of course still shorten any belt style that is too large.

Description

Let me tell you about my favourite secret weapon. Most people don’t think twice about their belt, which is exactly why a great one makes such a difference. Put this on and someone will inevitably reach out and touch it, usually mid-conversation, usually without asking. Consider yourself warned. That’s the nubuck at work. It’s leather that has been gently buffed to raise a fine, tight nap, giving it a soft, silky feel and a warmth you notice the moment your fingers brush across it. In a rich dark chocolate it has real depth, with subtle shifts of tone as the nap catches the light one way and then the other. What I love about nubuck is the extra layer of texture it brings to an outfit. Against denim, cotton, wool or linen it adds a quiet richness that a smooth leather simply can’t, and it does it all year round, from crisp spring shirts to heavy winter knits. For the buckle, I wanted something with a little more character than a plain frame, without tipping into anything showy. It’s a softly squared shape in aged silver, its surface finished with a fine dimpled texture that wraps around the frame and catches the light in tiny points as you move. The inner edges are left smooth, so the texture reads as a subtle detail rather than decoration. It’s the kind of buckle you appreciate more the longer you look at it. At 40mm, this is a belt for smart casual dressing rather than suits, and that’s exactly where it shines. It works well for both men and women. I’d wear it with dark indigo jeans, a navy cashmere crewneck and chocolate suede boots, or with stone chinos and a crisp white shirt on a summer weekend. On her, it looks fantastic slung through the loops of relaxed straight-leg jeans with an oversized cream knit, or worn at the waist of a camel coat or a soft shirt dress to give it shape. It’s brilliant with corduroy and flannel in the colder months, and with cream, olive, navy and rust all year. If you’re the sort of person who has one belt you wear with everything, this is a very good candidate. Not only is the upper leather full grain quality, the lining is too, so it’s built to last and feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside. And like every belt we make, it’s handcrafted in our small Spanish atelier, where a small team takes the time needed to get these details right rather than rushing them.

Exactly what was promised
