Over the years we have worked with many types of animal textured leathers and python effect in particular…so we were very excited to discover this new Aspis (Viper) texture which looks so realistic that it is hard to believe it is not the real thing! Its distinctive black and white patterning is infused in this case with a lovely dusky pink undertone that permeates the whole strap. The skin effect will certainly add lustre to any outfit, giving it some edginess and contrasting with the flatter nature of most fabrics whilst the various tones and natural patterning within the leather make this belt amazingly versatile for any number of occasions. When it came to choosing a buckle we decided to go for a design that would enhance the belt without distracting in any way from the beauty of the leather. So we opted to use our kinked edge roller detail buckle, a style that is different but not attention seeking...its smooth tubular edges contrast nicely with the etched roller detail be eye-catching but not flashy. Most important is our choice of a gunmetal finish, we chose this specifically to pick up on the dark veins in the leather and act as a crisp contrast to the pink and white tones. This is a belt that will be really versatile - its variety of colours means you can pair this up with black, white, beige, denim and of course pink! You can certainly wear this by day but it could be fun by night to really add a splash of colour to a darker outfit or smart denim. A fun and distinctive belt in a colour that is surprisingly easy to wear.
