Embossing Information

We are pleased to be able to offer an embossing service so that you can personalise your belts or accessories. Having your initials discreetly embossed adds a classy finishing touch and of course if you are buying something as a gift then adding initials is really lovely detail.

So...a few things to know about our embossing service :

What can I emboss?

You are able to emboss up to 3 initials without spaces/punctuation. For the moment we cannot emboss numbers or dates but hope to be able to offer this service soon.

Font type / Size

Our letters are UPPERCASE in Times New Roman font - the font is 6mm high

What items can I emboss?

Any belt and most accessories can be embossed subject to space. We can emboss on both plain or textured leather (so either on the inside or outside) but please bear in mind that if we emboss on textured leather there is a chance that you will see small breakage lines in the foil due to the uneven nature of the surface.

What positions can I have my items embossed in?

Belts can be embossed in 2 different positions, either towards the tip end of the belt or close to the buckle end. The Initials can be embossed in either landscape or portrait orientation. All of these options will be offered when adding personalisation to your cart. By default we emboss on the INSIDE of belts. If you would like us to emboss on the OUTSIDE please let us know this in the customer comment section and we will do our best to accommodate dependent on leather type)

For accessories due to the variety of permutations we have to use our best judgement as to where to place the emboss. When adding personalisation to your cart you will have the option to select to have the embossing either inside or outside. Our embossing specialist will then use his discretion to select the best location for embossing.

We offer a standard price of £15 for up to 3 letters.

How long will this take?

If you choose to have initials added to one of your purchases please allow 7 days from the date of order for the item to be ready for shipment. 

Exchange/Refund/Returns

Once an item is personalised it unfortunately cannot be exchanged or refunded. We can of course still shorten any belt style that is too large.

Description

There’s a particular kind of confidence in a belt that doesn’t need to try too hard. This one has it. It takes everything that makes a classic belt so wearable and gives it one quiet twist, enough to make people look a second time without ever tipping into showiness. If your wardrobe leans clean and modern, this is the belt that finishes it properly. It starts with genuine ostrich, a leather that has never once gone out of style. The raised quills are its signature, dotted across the hide in a natural pattern that no two straps share. They sit slightly darker than the leather around them and hold a soft gleam against its more matt surface, so the strap shifts subtly in tone and shine as the light moves across it. It’s refined enough for smart dressing and relaxed enough for smart casual, which is exactly why ostrich has stayed in the wardrobes of well-dressed people for so long. The buckle is a single sweeping curve in polished silver, an open frame that arcs round and finishes in a fine, tapering tail. There’s no fuss to it at all, just one fluid line. The open centre lets the ostrich show through, so buckle and strap read as one piece, and rather than competing with the leather the shape draws the eye along it. It’s a change of pace from a traditional frame, yet it keeps everything streamlined, and if anything it makes the belt feel more elegant, not less. It works well for both men and women, and it suits a sleek, pared-back way of dressing. Try it with slim black trousers and a fine-gauge merino knit, or with dark selvedge denim, a white Oxford shirt and black loafers. Over a long winter coat and a tailored trouser it adds a sharp flash of silver at the waist. On her, it’s lovely with a black jumpsuit or high-waisted wide-leg trousers and a simple silk top. Keep the rest of the look clean and let that curve be the one detail people notice. The inside is as considered as the outside, lined in soft nubuck so it’s as comfortable as it is good-looking. And like every belt we make, it’s handcrafted in our small Spanish atelier, by a small team who still believe the best things come from taking your time.

Exactly what was promised

I ordered 2 of these, black and brown, with 3 buckles, gold, silver and one rather ornate one. the order arrived and i now have a complete "arsenal" of belts and buckles to fit every outfit. the leather is silky smooth and soft, exactly as promised, both lining and outer are full grain. being my first full grain belts i am excited to see how they develop in time!

I have a total of 6 belts from ER and I love each of them. 3 are beautifully designed original Alligator belts in distinct colours like Blue, Red and Yellow. For each I selected unique buckles and I just love them.
