Handmade Pyramid Plate Tagnipis Shell Buckle 40mm

Here at Elliot Rhodes we are always trying to experiment with new materials and textures in an effort to push buckle design into new territory. Hence the introduction of this new collection of shell encrusted buckles. Each one of these is made entirely by hand with the shell being inlayed by hand, either in complete pieces or with multiple tiny fragments, with great care and precision. This particular style has been made with Tagnipis Shell with its wonderful pearlized tones and smooth surface texture. Embedded into the roped edged rectangular metal frame with its pyramid design it makes for a stunning buckle that is both sleek, tactile and at the same time wonderfully natural and original - no two pieces will ever be alike! I think you can use this buckle casually but I would love to see this worn for a smarter casual occasion (a night out?) on a belt with a little sheen that will make a very stylish statement. There will be a lovely gleam that reflects off the polished shell surface. I think this buckle will work with pretty much any colour - it has brown undertones that make it ideal for pairing with earthy tones but there are enough black elements to make it suitable for wearing with Black or Grey too. At warmer times pairing with cream or beige will be fabulous too. A striking buckle!
