This gradual process allows the titanium's crystalline structure to expand from the microscopic, revealing intricate, iridescent patterns that shimmer and shift in the light. The vibrant hues emerge from the heat-induced oxidation of the titanium, while the back of the buckle displays the raw titanium crystal structure, stripped of its colour – offering a striking contrast and glimpse into the material's natural state.
