Handmade Voodoo Skull Buckle 40mm

All the way back in 2009 we had a fortuitous meeting with sculptress Marcela Ganly, whose body of work focuses predominantly on the animal world. Our mutual passion for belts inspired us to explore whether her extraordinary sculptural talent — and our design experience — could be adapted to the smaller, more intricate format of a belt buckle. Several months and many trips to the foundry later, we unveiled our first collection of Bronze and Silver Plated buckles, each one a limited‑edition piece, signed and numbered. This collaboration laid the foundation for a series of sculptural designs that continue to define our most characterful creations today. Silver or Bronze skull & roses buckle channels that same spirit of expressive metalwork, blending macabre symbolism with ornate craftsmanship. The sculpted skull sits boldly at the centre, crowned with a wide‑brimmed hat that adds personality and attitude. Behind it, a richly textured field of raised rose motifs creates a dramatic backdrop, each bloom adding depth and contrast to the polished Silver or Bronze surface. The interplay between the smooth contours of the skull and the intricate floral detailing gives the buckle a striking three‑dimensional presence. Subtle oxidisation enhances the shadows within the relief, lending the piece an aged, atmospheric quality that feels both artistic and rebellious. At 40mm, this buckle pairs perfectly with wider belts and offers strong unisex appeal.
