Here at Elliot Rhodes we have always had a penchant for mixing different textures of leather within the same belt design. For this season we have done just that to create our new 'Hitchcock' design belt. If you are going to name a belt after one of the greatest movie directors of all time it has to be something special...so we have taken one of our favourite smooth leathers and through its centre inserted from below, in a scotch grain version of the same leather, a raised welt. The belt has then been lovingly hand burnished to bring forth a plethora of darker and more vibrant Indigo Blue tones from within the leather and stitched with a subtle contrast stitch to give a real craftsman's finish. We have added our beloved kinked edge roller buckle with its sleek satin finish to add a distinctive finishing touch to the belt. We love how the etching detail on the roller matches up with the scotch grain texture of the central welt and also like the weighty feel of the buckle. It adds yet another level of intrigue to an already stunning design! The end result is a belt that will certainly stand you out from the crowd - whether worn for smarter occasions or on smart denim this is a belt that shows you like to pay attention to detail.
