To create this belt we have hand finished the python leather, spraying and sponging the leather by hand to create this subtle tonal Khaki effect and hand brushing to give a soft nubuck like finish. This belt feels rich and mysterious, multi layered and at the same time extremely versatile. The texture python leather is always intriguing and sophisticated, the scales adding three dimensionality and a tactile texture. Then we've added this fabulous 'Barbed Wire' design buckle to the mix...this buckle is totally handmade from salvaged Wrought Iron and barbed wire salvaged from our friend Zach's ranch in Montana where he handcrafts these buckles in between growing flowers and raising cattle. Each buckle is totally unique, the iron used is reclaimed from old 19th Century Winona company iron wagon wheels and then heated, hammered and hand carved to give it shape, texture and finish - whilst maintaining the charm of the iron in its natural state. Each piece is also numbered & limited edition too. The colours of the oxidized iron and golden barbed wire blend beautifully with the darker tones of the python leather to create a belt that is rich, tonal, intriguing and just crying out to be worn and shown off!
