Embossing Information

We are pleased to be able to offer an embossing service so that you can personalise your belts or accessories. Having your initials discreetly embossed adds a classy finishing touch and of course if you are buying something as a gift then adding initials is really lovely detail.

So...a few things to know about our embossing service :

What can I emboss?

You are able to emboss up to 3 initials without spaces/punctuation. For the moment we cannot emboss numbers or dates but hope to be able to offer this service soon.

Font type / Size

Our letters are UPPERCASE in Times New Roman font - the font is 6mm high

What items can I emboss?

Any belt and most accessories can be embossed subject to space. We can emboss on both plain or textured leather (so either on the inside or outside) but please bear in mind that if we emboss on textured leather there is a chance that you will see small breakage lines in the foil due to the uneven nature of the surface.

What positions can I have my items embossed in?

Belts can be embossed in 2 different positions, either towards the tip end of the belt or close to the buckle end. The Initials can be embossed in either landscape or portrait orientation. All of these options will be offered when adding personalisation to your cart. By default we emboss on the INSIDE of belts. If you would like us to emboss on the OUTSIDE please let us know this in the customer comment section and we will do our best to accommodate dependent on leather type)

For accessories due to the variety of permutations we have to use our best judgement as to where to place the emboss. When adding personalisation to your cart you will have the option to select to have the embossing either inside or outside. Our embossing specialist will then use his discretion to select the best location for embossing.

We offer a standard price of £15 for up to 3 letters.

How long will this take?

If you choose to have initials added to one of your purchases please allow 7 days from the date of order for the item to be ready for shipment. 

Exchange/Refund/Returns

Once an item is personalised it unfortunately cannot be exchanged or refunded. We can of course still shorten any belt style that is too large.

Description

I’ve always been a sucker for 1960s automotive design. The long bonnets, the chrome that gleamed like jewellery, the grilles that gave every car its own face. It was an era when engineers and stylists worked hand in hand, and even the most functional details were made beautiful. This belt is my small tribute to that spirit. It’s sleek, a little bit glamorous and quietly engineered, the kind of thing you could imagine someone wearing as they slid behind the wheel of an E-Type on the way to somewhere rather more interesting than the office. The pairing is what makes it. The strap is a mock croc with a metallic gunmetal sheen, something like a freshly polished paint job, drifting from deep charcoal to silvery pewter with the odd hint of violet glowing in the grooves between the scales. Against it sits a polished silver buckle with a front panel of slim parallel bars, a crisp, slatted grille that wouldn’t look out of place on the front of a Jaguar. The magic is in the way they interlock: the gunmetal shimmer peeks through the gaps between the bars, and the bright silver catches the light while the scales of the strap fall softly into shadow. Chrome against paintwork, polish against texture. It’s architectural and a touch industrial, but refined enough to feel effortlessly smart. Gunmetal is a smarter, more interesting alternative to black, and it works with just as much. It works well for both men and women. The narrow width means it’s perfectly at home with tailoring, so I’d wear it with a charcoal or navy suit and a crisp white shirt when I want a quiet point of difference. It’s equally good with black jeans and a grey roll-neck, or with grey trousers and a black knit for evening. On her, it’s brilliant with a sharp black trouser suit, threaded through high-waisted grey trousers with a white shirt, or worn with skinny jeans and an oversized blazer. Driving gloves optional. Not only is the upper leather full grain quality, the lining is too. And like every belt we make, it’s handcrafted in our small Spanish atelier, where a small team still makes each one by hand and never cuts corners on the details that matter.

Exactly what was promised

I ordered 2 of these, black and brown, with 3 buckles, gold, silver and one rather ornate one. the order arrived and i now have a complete "arsenal" of belts and buckles to fit every outfit. the leather is silky smooth and soft, exactly as promised, both lining and outer are full grain. being my first full grain belts i am excited to see how they develop in time!

I have a total of 6 belts from ER and I love each of them. 3 are beautifully designed original Alligator belts in distinct colours like Blue, Red and Yellow. For each I selected unique buckles and I just love them.
