Over the years we have worked with many types of animal textured leathers and python effect in particular…so we were very excited to discover this new Aspis (Viper) texture which looks so realistic that it is hard to believe it is not the real thing! Its distinctive black and white patterning is infused in this case with a lovely deep Moonlight blue undertone that permeates the whole strap. The skin effect will certainly add lustre to any outfit, giving it some edginess and contrasting with the flatter nature of most fabrics whilst the various tones and natural patterning within the leather make this belt amazingly versatile for any number of occasions. When it came to choosing a buckle we decided to go for our scribe plate design in a really unique rust finish. This particular design is full of fascinating surface texture and movement which for me mimics the pattern in the leather. The rust finish itself really picks up on the blacky/brown tones in the leather giving the belt an earthy rustic feel. This is a belt that will be really versatile - its variety of colours means you can pair this up with blues, browns, white, beige, denim...and more! With this buckle it feels like a belt to wear mainly by day but with the right outfit I think this will easily morph into an eveningwear piece too adding a lovely, mellow finishing touch to any outfit.
