Embossing Information

We are pleased to be able to offer an embossing service so that you can personalise your belts or accessories. Having your initials discreetly embossed adds a classy finishing touch and of course if you are buying something as a gift then adding initials is really lovely detail.

So...a few things to know about our embossing service :

What can I emboss?

You are able to emboss up to 3 initials without spaces/punctuation. For the moment we cannot emboss numbers or dates but hope to be able to offer this service soon.

Font type / Size

Our letters are UPPERCASE in Times New Roman font - the font is 6mm high

What items can I emboss?

Any belt and most accessories can be embossed subject to space. We can emboss on both plain or textured leather (so either on the inside or outside) but please bear in mind that if we emboss on textured leather there is a chance that you will see small breakage lines in the foil due to the uneven nature of the surface.

What positions can I have my items embossed in?

Belts can be embossed in 2 different positions, either towards the tip end of the belt or close to the buckle end. The Initials can be embossed in either landscape or portrait orientation. All of these options will be offered when adding personalisation to your cart. By default we emboss on the INSIDE of belts. If you would like us to emboss on the OUTSIDE please let us know this in the customer comment section and we will do our best to accommodate dependent on leather type)

For accessories due to the variety of permutations we have to use our best judgement as to where to place the emboss. When adding personalisation to your cart you will have the option to select to have the embossing either inside or outside. Our embossing specialist will then use his discretion to select the best location for embossing.

How much does it cost?

We offer a standard price of £15 for up to 3 letters.

How long will this take?

If you choose to have initials added to one of your purchases please allow 7 days from the date of order for the item to be ready for shipment. 

Exchange/Refund/Returns

Once an item is personalised it unfortunately cannot be exchanged or refunded. We can of course still shorten any belt style that is too large.

Description

Creating a belt design that is classy and elegant yet at the same time has its own distinctive character is always an interesting challenge. There is a delicate balance to be struck between detail that enhances and detail that distracts. So back in 2016 when we came up with our 'Hancock' style, named after ground-breaking jazz artist Herbie Hancock, we were inspired to keep things minimal with just a hint of contemporary style to show that sense of individuality. This new version of Hancock takes all of the great elements of its predecessor but evolves with the scotch grain texture of the leather. This leather adds a weight and solidity to the belt with a hint more 'sportiness' . It is still hand burnished to reveal a rich depth of tone and colour and then under the surface there are the sleek S shaped ridges which we are highlighted with their own stitch detail. These ridges repeat along the strap every 25cms and once the belt is hand polished show a little extra tonal contrast to subtly add extra life to the belt. This incarnation in a lovely Bottle Green tone has a lovely warm feel to it and to keep that vibe we have paired it up with our sleek equestrian prong buckle in a timeless aged gold finish. The buckle has a nice weight to it that combines with the scotch grain texture whilst remaining slimline giving the belt a slick look that would make it suitable for both formal and smart casual occasions, adding a nice bit of texture - great for a suit, smart trousers or denim. Wear this belt style and people will know you are willing to experiment with the smallest of details to create your own individuality - like the jazz maestro the belt is named after!

Delivery & Returns

Delivery

Orders made by midday BST will be despatched the same working day. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched on the next working day.

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday (with the exception of Public Holidays) and delivered on working days.
